Cardi B files for divorce from Offset after three years of marriage

American rapper, Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar a.k.a Cardi B on Tuesday September 15, filed for divorce from Offset whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus after being married for three years, according to the Fulton County Magistrate in Georgia.

Fulton County website shows the filing spell-out Cardi B and Offset’s real names in the contested divorce case titled “Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar vs. Kiari Kendrell Cephus” over irreconcilable differences.

The court documents indicate that Cardi is asking for primary legal and physical custody of their child, Kulture. Their hearing is scheduled for November 4 at 10 a.m.

The divorce filing is coming just five days before their third anniversary.

According to Hollywood Unlocked, Cardi seemingly hinted at the split in an Instagram story.

The IG post had a photo with the write-up “Her heart finally told her to stop wasting her time,” along with the caption “It’s time.”

More than a year after their marriage, Cardi announced she and Offset had split up amid rumors of infidelity on the Migos rapper’s part. After a brief separation, the divorce was called off, and the couple decided to give their relationship another chance.

The celebrity hip-hop couple’s marriage certificate is dated on September 20, 2017, according to Fulton County court documents.

They secretly married before the Migos rapper proposed to her onstage at Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia in October.

They have a daughter together, two-year-old Kulture Kiari Cephus.
